My work with Reiki came about in response to a head trauma sustained by my son in September 1997.  Energy work was an integral part of his healing.  My trust and joy in this work is that It found Me.  The past eight years have been an active apprenticeship as I moved through Master level training, working with friends and family as well as in open clinic settings.  The most challenging aspect of bringing my Reiki practice to the public is finding clear language to convey what the practice encompasses.  I don't "do" Reiki,  I make myself available for Reiki to work through me.  There is no belief system required and in fact a suspension of belief is often helpful as it creates an open mind.  In addition to exploring the concepts of Energy Medicine, I am currently training in Craniosacral Biodynamics as presented by Roger Gilchrist. My Reiki practice has recently expanded to the equine community.

Energy Medicine is a term used by Donna Eden to describe "the growing number of approaches where an understanding of the body as a system of energies is being applied for promoting health, healing and happiness."
