Hypnobirthing
What is It?
Hypnobirthing is as much a philosophy as it is a technique. It is a
rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing that is based on
the belief that when a mother is properly prepared for birthing
physically, mentally, and spiritually, she can experience the joy of
birthing her baby in an easier, more comfortable, and often even
pain free, manner. HypnoBirthing returns to women the art of
birthing in a way that allows her to summon her natural birthing
instincts. HypnoBirthing is based on the belief that severe
discomfort does not need to be a natural accompaniment of labor.

Hypnotherapy
What is it?
Hypnotherapy evolved from an Austrian physician, Franz Anton Mesmer
(1734-1815). It is currently used in a variety of medical and dental
environments, from helping people to lose weight, to stop smoking,
reduce stress, relieve pain, anxiety, phobias, depression, low
self-esteem, etc. It can include regression work or "progression,"
to visualize future positive outcomes and possibilities.
Hypnosis
involves a state of focused relaxation, when the subconscious mind
is open to suggestions. The therapist facilitates communication
between the right and left sides of the brain with the client in a
state of consciousness somewhere between waking and sleeping. The
client benefits the most when the desire to be hypnotizes is there,
and he/she knows the environment is completely safe and peaceful.
The client, though relaxed, is always in control. Some practitioners
have their own private practices, while others use hypnotherapy in
their already existing acupuncture, massage, psychotherapy, or
nursing careers.

Intuitive Healing
What is it?
Julie Motz developed her idea that healing is a process in which
four basic feelings, corresponding to the four basic forces in
physics:
- Electromagnetism - as
light and electricity governs observation, communications and
corresponds to fear
- Gravitation - anger with
its accelerative power
- Nuclear force - pain with
its power to pull in toward the center
- Weak force - (the most
recent and most mysterious to be discovered) active whenever
neutrinos are released or absorbed, as in the hydrogen-helium
reaction which fuels stars like our sun, sending billions of
neutrinos out into space. It corresponds to love, the radiant
feeling of creation and connection.
In her own body, Ms Motz became aware that
these four basic forces and their corresponding feelings were
located in her tissues. In working with very ill patients, she
sensed feelings being held in tissues that normally didn't
correspond. She called these "emotional defenses". an example would
be heart patients having "sorrow in their blood", which weakened
their hearts. Motz believes that every cell in our body has a
personality and memory, and is able to communicate with every other
cell. She listens to, and interacts with cells for healing purposes,
and also teaches her patients to do so as well.

Jin Shin Jyutsu
What is it?
JIN SHIN JYUTSU
literally translated is:
JYUTSU - Art
SHIN - Creator
JIN - Man of
Knowing and Compassion
(Art of the
Creator through man of knowing and compassion)
Jin Shin Jyutsu
is the art of releasing tensions which are the causes for various
symptoms in the body. Our bodies contain several energy pathways
that feed life into all of our cells. When one or more of these
paths become blocked, this damming effect may lead to discomfort or
even pain. This blockage or stagnation will not only disrupt the
local area but will continue and eventually disharmonize the
complete path or paths of the energy flow.
Through Jin Shin
Jyutsu our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that we are
endowed with the ability to harmonize and balance ourselves (in
rhythm with the universe) physically, mentally and spiritually.
Jin Shin Jyutsu
is an art as opposed to a technique because a technique is a
mechanical application, whereas an art is a skillful creation.
Jin Shin Jyutsu
brings balance to the body's energies, which promotes optimal health
and well-being, and facilitates our own profound healing capacity.
It is a valuable complement to conventional healing methods,
inducing relaxation and reducing the effects of stress.

Reflexology
What is it?
Reflexology is a complementary therapy, which works on the feet to
help heal the whole person not just the prevailing symptoms.
Reflexology can be
used to help restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium.
This gentle therapy encourages the body to work naturally to restore
its own healthy balance.
Reflexology is
suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of
acute and chronic conditions.
